Indiana United Methodist Children's Home is licensed by the Indiana Department of Child Services to serve children ages 6 to 18. Children and youth for placement can include, but are not limited to:
Status offenders
Non-violent delinquent offenders
Children experiencing difficulties in the educational setting, both academic and/or behavioral
Children who have a history of alcohol or drug abuse but are not in need of inpatient substance abuse treatment
Children who have completed inpatient psychiatric or drug/abuse treatment
Victims of emotional, physical, and or sexual abuse or neglect
Children from dysfunctional families where a child cannot develop in a healthy manner and children with various behavior and emotional problems
The average length of stay is six to nine months.
